Breaking Borders in 81 Seconds by award winning artist Lex Lumiere is an art cinema extension of the ” Breaking Borders ” photographic essay displayed at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France in July for the Exposure Award ceremony. Professional photographers from 191 countries around the world entered the juried exhibition. Lumiere’s exhibit is a tribute to Chinese political artist Ai Weiwei. The film represents 1 second for every day he was in solitary confinement, questioning our perceptions of freedom and technologies ability to empower human rights and freedom of speech.
